Bounty hunters

Not sure what my reaction is to the idea that bounties have basically been put on the heads of some NFL Player. Obviously there is no intent to kill as the word bounty implies but that idea is that some players are purposefully trying to injure other players and coaches are encouraging the policy.
Anyone who engages in such behavior needs to punished to the full extent of the rules of the game. It is hard to believe that this is even an issue but it obviously is.
As long as there is an NFL there are going to be disagreements between players that result in someone getting a target on their back. It is part of the game.
What is not part of the game is trying to hurt players just because their talents are outstanding, trying to put someone out of a game in order to increase ones chances of winning.
It may be difficult to prove such things are going on but if they are they need to be recognized. A big Kudos from The Corner for any league official who steps in to stop it.
