A moment to remember

If you look below you will see Sparky Anderson listed. Unfortunately he passed away this week and deserves mention in The Corner.
He deserves mention because he was the captain of the great Big Red Machines of the 70s and 80s. Pete Rose, Johnny Bench, Tony Perez those are just a few of the names who played under Anderson but he was the leader to put them together. He is a hero on Cincinatti for his efforts.
He is thought of pretty highly in Detroit also. He was also a great American League manager.
Here is to the who I call the Great White Haired Wonder (I never saw him when his color was any other shade.! He may be the first manager I remember from my childhood. He will be one who will never be forgotten by the baseball world.
