Michael Vick has been a no show at a couple events in the past couple days, including one in my home town of Raleigh, NC. He also skipped out at a football camp in Baltimore as well as a golf tournament in Atlanta. His representatives, he isn't speaking, claim that his probation officer won't let him out of Pennsylvania due to the recent shooting that he was possibly involved in.
I can understand that if his probation officer won't let him out of the state he would not show up to events in a different state, but the manor that he let the camp managers, as well the kids involved in the camp know he wasn't showing up really is low class. Cornelius Corprew, of Camp Elite Sports the camp in Raleigh, said that Vick did not even contact him to let him know he was not showing up. Instead a representative for Vick called Corprew at 1:30 in the morning the day the camp started to let him know Vick wasn't showing. That leaves 7 hours or so for Corprew to find someone else, virtually impossible to do in the middle of the night. Also the campers payed $175 bucks to attend the camp and were PROMISED a photo with Vick as well as his autograph. To my knowledge they were given no refund, or at least a partial one that they deserved for not getting what they were promised. Corprew was clearly upset when he said "our camp is built on integrity and character and that's what we teach to our kids."....
My adivce to Mr. Corprew: Next time don't promote your camp with a thug like Michael Vick!!

Precisely. as an earlier post was entitled, Vick makes me sick.
and my next thought. Why invite a convicted dog fighter if your camp is based on integrity and character.
I think Vick should make it up to the kids and send them all an autographed football with all the starters from the Eagles. Something so the kids get their money's worth out of the camp and something they can be proud of. Maybe even a personally signed hand written apology letter, he can't leave the state so he has nothing else better to do.
