Lots of things going on

A list of a few things that my attention right now.

Ben Roethlisberger. If the man is going to be suspended why is he playing in pre-season games? Seems if he is not going to be allowed to play his uniform should remain on a hanger somewhere. It is a complicated situation that seems to get worse.

Sammy Sosa. Cry me a river. He is complaining because the Cubs are letting someone else wear his jersey number and aren't paying him enough respect. Frankly, he has an argument that his number should be retired but crying never got anyone anything.  After obvious steroids use and of course the corked bat scandal it is also easy to see the Cubs point of view. If Sosa wants more attention from the Cubs then he needs to find a better way to look for it.

The future of N.C. State football. Most in Wolfpack country may not know it but the Pack made a major signing this past weekend. Harnett Central star quarterback Brian Taylor committed to head to Raleigh. 

If he has flown under anyone's radar, he shouldn't have. East Carolina and UNC both picked him up loud and clear and recruited him for their schools. Size, arm strength, athletic ability and a cool head under pressure are some of the things that make this young quarterback Phillip Rivers like material if he is treated the right way. Mike Glennon may keep him on the bench at first but Taylor is going to play, and star in the ACC. Hopefully when he is a star I can say I interviewed him when....
