Luke Cothron, 4-star prospect out of Red Springs North Carolina, has officially decommitted. He was considered a soft verbal to NC State for the past couple of months but recently has decided he wants to look else where.
He said, "I want to come in and play as a freshman, I also want a good relationship with the head coach, and I want to be surrounded by a great team."

On a positive note for NC State they still have Ryan Harrow and Lorenzo Brown, two of the best guards in the country coming to play next year. Also in the position Cothron would have played the Wolf Pack would have leading Scorer Tracy Smith returning and stand out freshman Richard Howell. Also Wolf Pack fans are hoping that this could be a sign the C.J. Leslie could be looking to come to NC State now.
