The arrogance of Michael

I am the first to admit that Michael Jordan is the greatest star in the history of the National Basketball Association. He is better than anyone else but not as good as he claims.

Jordan is all over the sports pages and blogs with the arrogant proclamation that Kobe Bryant is the only person in NBA history he can be compared to. Jordan needs to get off his high horse and realize there were generations before him and after him, each with their own stars.

He seems to have forgotten Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, Julius Ervin aka Dr. J, Kareem Abdul Jabaar, etc. In the modern age one could put Lebron James in the same sentence with Jordan.

Michael will lose a lot of credibility with his proclamation. He sure did with me. People know he is good but they don't want to hear him talk about it. They don't want to listen to him try to sell the Michael Jordan brand. He needs to talk about how he can make his team, the Bobcats better. He could talk about ways he can use his notoriety to help people.

It's simple UNC arrogance, its chronic, once you have it you are stuck with it.
