A-Rod Who Cares

Yesterday afternoon Alex Rodriguez hit his 600th home run of his career.  All I have to say to that is who cares.  It could have been a fantastic thing considering he is the youngest to ever reach 600 IF he hadn't taken performance enhancing drugs (PED).  He said that he only used those drugs in 2001-2003 in which he hit 156 homers.

If the rules were up to me those 156 homers would be erased and A-Rod the cheat would only have 444 home runs right now.  Still a good feat but not near as good as 600.

There have been quite a few predictions that A-Rod will make it to 800 home runs, something I don't see happening since his age combined with no PED's will start to catch up with him.  I do see him catching the current leader Hank Aaron (755), Barry Bonds (762) was a cheat too so his name should be scratched from the list.  Unlike Bonds A-Rod did admit his PED use so instead of forgotten all together A-Rods name should be bumped down 156 home runs.  So if thats the case he might be able to climb back into my 600 home run club if he were to get that 756th home run.

So back to my point with A-Rod hitting his 444th home run without cheating who cares, when he hits 156 more home runs, which at his current rate would be around 4.5 to 5 years from now then lets celebrate!

I'm sure if Hank had doped up in his day he would have been at 900 home runs instead of 755.

A-Rod was hit by a pitch today and pulled out of the line up, that speaks to the point that as you get older it's harder to stay healthy and play through things you could in the past, meaning his path to more home runs won't be as steep.
