Debbie Yow, New AD at NCSU

A couple of different reports are that current Maryland athletic director will be named the new AD at NC State. Both WRAL and State Fans Nation are reporting that she will be the person to replace Lee Fowler. Also Inside Maryland Sports reports that they also expect her to take the NCSU offer.

While at Maryland Yow has won 20 National Championships in 6 different sports. Also Yow is president of the national Division I-A Athletic Directors Association and a member of the board of directors for the National Football Foundation and the USA Football and the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Academic Enhancement Committee.  Even with all of this the initial reaction seems to be that NC State could have gotten someone better but this is a definite upgrade from the Lee Fowler era.  Time will tell but I am more than happy to give her a fair and fighting chance to make improvements to the largest college in the state.

State Fans Nation has a nice break down of her contract as well as bonus' that are given based on performance.  It is exciting times for the Pack and the future seems to look bright to me!
